The Hall Launches New Creative Luminary and Innovator Awards

September 10, 2025 – The Medical Advertising Hall of Fame (The Hall) today announced an evolution in its awards program, retiring the Heritage Award and Digital Pioneer Award to make way for two new honors that reflect the dynamic future of the industry: the Creative Luminary Award and the Innovator Award.

Since their inception, the Heritage and Digital Pioneer Awards have celebrated trailblazers whose groundbreaking work helped shape the foundation of healthcare marketing. As the industry continues to innovate and evolve, The Hall is expanding its recognition of leaders whose creative and forward-thinking contributions are defining what comes next.

The new Creative Luminary Award will honor individuals whose bold creativity and vision elevate the standards of healthcare advertising, inspiring both peers and the next generation of talent. The Innovator Award will recognize leaders who are driving transformative change in medical communications—through new platforms, technologies, business models, or ideas—that expand the industry’s impact and reach.

“It’s inspiring to see more creative minds being recognized for their talent, leadership, and above all, their vision. Today, the world of health and pharma advertising is more driven by creativity than ever before. Honoring the individuals whose ideas have redefined our industry reflects The Hall’s commitment to championing creativity and embracing the future of healthcare,” said Allison Ceraso, MAHF Creative Chair.

“Our industry has always been shaped by trailblazers—thinkers and builders who saw a need and dared to innovate at scale. From media and communication platforms to creative ideas and communities, they’ve redefined how we serve people and elevate experiences. The Innovator Award honors these visionaries of today and tomorrow who push us all forward,” added Ken Begasse, MAHF Co-Chair.

Both new awards will debut in 2026 and will be presented annually alongside The Hall inductions at the Awards Dinner.

About the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame: The Hall was founded in 1996 to preserve the history and heritage of the medical advertising profession and recognize the industry’s most influential and respected forebears. Since then, MAHF has expanded its mission to include recognition of past excellence in creative work, creation of educational resources.
